06/17/24 TS- customer wanted a waterheater flushed when I arrived but the unit is 12 years old and the T&P valve wouldn't open ( I didn't feel comfortable pushing it). Instead of flushing the unit due to age, I put in a water alarm in the drain pan and gave the customer options to prepare for, when the waterheater gives out. She declined any repair or replace at this time.

Arrived for STU #IAQ system double filtered - removed one and recommended not using 2 - or IAQ1000 upgrade is a much more cost effective and catches more dust than her current setup Drains clear but no water safeties Blower motor is running hot Blower capacitor is out of tolerance Condenser coil clean Dual run cap and motor are fine Refrigerant level is fine Hard start kit recommended due to high starting Amp draw Customer had to leave the house at 11:30 so she will review my recommendations and get back to us

For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's house, the system was not running and indoor temperature was in the '80s. I checked the furnace and initially it was not running, however after resetting power, and checking fuses it started back up. When I went to the condenser I was getting an error code for locked rotor and after looking at the compressor saver the bubble on top was popped indicating it was bad. I replaced the pressure saver with a new one and the system fired up. I watched my gauges for approximately 15 minutes and everything appeared to be working as expected. Before leaving the air being distributed to the house was 55°.

On arrival system was running and cooling producing an 18 degree delta. Indoor unit had a clean blower and coil. The primary drain line flowed when flushed. Emergency drain pan had large quantity of water in it due to dirty filter causing coil to freeze. Emergency drain line flowing slowly. Recommended drain line clear for Emergency drain line and an upgraded uv system to replace his value germicidal system. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing. When I left system was running and cooling.

On arrival condenser fan motor was stuck, I replaced the fan motor and the system ran and cooled as intended.
