For this call I performed a super tune-up. The unit was amping over lra rating on the data tag and I noted that the top of the supply plenum had insulation that fell off they could possibly cause water damage during cooling in the summer time. I recommend it adding a compressor saver kit to mitigate the over amperage and also resealing the supply plenum on the top portion. For this call I performed this is for tune-up. I recommended resealing all ducts to the supply plenum, adding a UV as a preventative measure for Bio growth, installing either a soft start device for compressor longevity working as a surge protection as well or installing a compressor saver with a unit search protection, and adding a drain switch to the primary drain line to prevent water damage if there were to be a clogged drain. For this job I performed an evaluation. I discovered a failed compressor at the electrical winding causing all the refrigerant to leak out of the unit. I successfully uploaded a video of refrigerant coming straight out of the blown portion of the compressor. $550 deductible for refrigerant was prepaid for, parts department to contact homeowners tomorrow with an ETA for when the compressor will come in and have record scheduled. For this job, I work on a super tune-up on this heat pump system. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of the system and checked for maximum efficiency. During this visit I discovered a primary clogged drain. Today I rerouted the primary drain and kept the emergency switch in play. System is back in play and and operated correctly at this time.

On this job I I washed and cleaned the condensor changed filters out. The system test in tolerance in most aspects but 1. The system makes a TD of 20° in cooling and ,30° in heating. Concerns Inrush 127 This is starting to damage disconnect key. The system is over 10 years old. I would recommend an easy start to help the system start up with 75% less amps. Otherwise system replacement is in the near furture.
