for this job, I did a cooling tuneup. when I arrived, thermostat was set to 74 and house was at 77. Took a Delta and it was 10. Drains were clear. Let the homeowner know I had to do an evaluation and find the immediate source of the problem. at the outdoor unit, I noticed an issue with refrigerant. Started checking the compressor and reversing valves and found that the compressor was not compressing the refrigerant even though it’s running. Diagnosed as a mechanical failure with compressor. homeowner said they need time to think about repair or replacement.
For this job I performed a evaluation. Upon arrival homeowner showed me where water had been leaking from in the attic. There was an exposed metal duct sweating causing water to come down to the closet unit. Successfully repaired the duct but told homeowner if the issue reoccurs we would need to replace the old duct wrap. Next I checked the drain lines and discovered a clogged primary drain line. I successfully unclogged the drain line and offered a pan strip to treat/prevent or advised homeowner to do monthly treatments with bleach/viniger followed by 1 gallon of water. Homeowner signed up for home and budget membership + Star 3 warranty upgrade. The system was cooling within normal spec limits upon departure and there was no longer any over sweating in the inside unit. Thank you for choosing comfort experts, have a great day!

Completed super tune upon 2 year old system furnace. Changed customer supplied filter checked both indoor and outdoor systems has a 20 degree Delta indoor blower is clean filter was not terrible all electrical connections are tight washed outdoor unit off checked pressures and everything is within manufactured specs recommended a compressor saver and a surge protector for system
Upon arrival indoor was blowing. Outdoor fan was running but the compressor was not, found Auxiliary motor starter had failed causing compressor to go out on thermal overload. Replaced 45 auxiliary motor starter and cooled compressor down, started system and found the system to be operating as should. Left system in cool
Arrived for service eval System very low on refrigerant due to extremely rusted EVAP coil Comfort Advisor Monday the 16th at 9 am for upstairs system
Performed inspection of heating and cooling system. Contacted comfort advisor because the homeowner wants a price to relocate AHU to closet and new ductwork. Checked volts, amps, temperature splits, refrigerant pressures including superheat and subcool, checked blower wheel and indoor coil both are dirty and need cleaned, dual run capacitor tested low should be replaced.
Float switch continuously tripping. Found no vent cap before trap causing negative pressure preventing water from drain properly. Added cap left system in cool
Completed AC tuneup on a couple year-old Goodman heat pump checked both indoor and outdoor systems changed customer supplied filter checked drain line checked all electrical and make sure all electrical connections are tight. Recommend replacing UV bulb due to age of it checked outdoor unit. Pressures are very good washed outdoor coil off Left system cooling.
Unit is a communicating Lennox another company was out changed motor and wiring harness now unit will not work customer is deciding to go with a Lennox dealer that specializes in this particular communicating equipment
I have performed my tune up and amthey are doing great I did end up fixing a short but that seemed to have been caused by the storm
