Unaffordable

I saw the price options for the task I was wanting. Water softener system. The only options provided were way, way to expensive for me. Thanked the technician. Technician was very cordial and polite.

Outstanding technician

Aaron showed up, on time and prepared. He was professional, competent and personable. He started in the upstairs, made a few adjustments, replaced the air filter and cleaned the drain line. Then he headed outside, cleaned the outdoor unit, did the paperwork, explained everything to me, had me sign off and was on his way. Excellent service. Excellent experience.

Deceptive Trade Practices

Horrible service. Comfort Experts (Hobson AC) sent out a technician, Kellen M. who told me that my capacitor, coils and compressor were going out and that I had multiple Freon leaks that were leaking into our house and could possible kill our family. He then set me up a meeting with a salesman to discuss my options on replacing the entire AC and heating system. Three other technicians came out and could not duplicate his findings. The last technician fixed my AC and it’s been working perfect ever since for $300.

Excellent Service!

Alex and his helper, Jonathan, arrived, on time and fully prepared to do a tough job in not the best of conditions. They cleaned up after themselves. They at least acted as if they didn’t mind me hovering about asking dumb questions. They were friendly and respectful. Overall, a very positive experience! Oh, and the upstairs portion of my house is now 74 degrees, not 94! Thank you!

2019 5t attic horizontal hp. Drain line clear. Filter - homeowner placed it backwards - fixed. Evaporator coil has signs of dust build up on the top side of evaporator coil on the intake side. Blower - heavy biological growth present on the blower door, hub, wiring and wheel - this compromises indoor air quality and reduces optimal airflow and increases external static pressure. Passthrough breakers are getting hit with heavy humidity which is developing rust on the line side of high voltage. No saftey float switch on condensate primary line - increased risk of unwanted flooding of the system. Condenser coils washed. 70/10 mfd capacitor below manufacturer tolerance. Compressor inrush amperage exceeds manufacturer specifications. Refrigerant charge acceptable. Defrost control board functional. Shared all information with homeowner. Homeowners claim they are moving and will consider the estimates built to restore the system. Declined work at this time. This protects the technician due

I attempted to obtain as much information as I could for Joe S. 4 - 8" supply ducts off the plenum go into another plenum that has a barrier that I couldn't access, but would seem to go into a metal chase. Looks to be less than 10' from supply plenum from the package unit to the additional plenum feeding the chase. 2 - 14" return duct off plenum seem to go straight to return grills. 10 supply vents with 1 closed vent in the kitchen due to flooring. Pausing for Joe S. Area has very weak signal for proper cell phone calls.

Obtained a copy of another companies invoice, this satisfied Comfort Expertsfree second opinion. Diagnostic discovered - Failed EEV - thermostat gave multiple codes - 184.07, 166.00. Trane error code 184.07 indicates a communication issue between the indoor and outdoor units of your HVAC system. This often stems from soft lockout. Trane error code 166.00 typically indicates a problem with the outdoor unit's communication board, often related to a low superheat condition. This can be caused by issues with the EEV (Electronic Expansion Valve), wiring, or the communication board itself. Putting refrigerant gauges on and watching the superheat increase while psucyion ressure drops forces the system to lock out. Indoor code - ALERT 1 EEV SYSTEM ERROR - EEV is stuck closed. Voltage is appled to the solenoid coil which moves a valve body - The main housing of the EEV, typically made of stainless steel, containing the needle valve mechanism. I've power cycled, inspected wiring, inspecte

Arrived to no cool. 4 year old Trane heat pump installed in 2021. Failed 45mfd capacitor was the cause of the no cool. Replaced capacitor with premium 45mfd capacitor and performed function check. System running and cooling the home upon departure. Customer has signed up for the home and budget protection plan.
