Jake Scifres came out 2/10/26 to do an electrical inspection and everything checked out great but while he was here we talked about a way to hook up my generator to my home and he was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and to put a 220 plug in my work shop. I requested information from Hobsons Comfort Experts on purchasing a generator for my home. Jeremy S was able to answer all my questions from size of unit, approximate price and location, and how it would work with the local utility co. Coming out a day earlier than originally expected, he was very knowledgeable and able to identify possible location, answered questions about noise, approx purchase price, and how it works with the electric co. Jeremy was respectful and didn’t mind all my questions. Thank you so much for quickly responding and giving me an idea for what to expect on an estimate!

Came back to charge unit. Found leak in the TXV. Replaced TXV with 072 piston. Coil does not have a leak. Pulled vacuum to 500 microns and released pump down. System running cooling upon departure. Would like to return in 6 weeks to check system. No refrigerant used. Coil was replaced earlier this year and customer was charged warranty refrigerant.

Arrived to no heat. Primary electrical control in the air handler had failed be placed part under warranty. While performing function check found that the system was very low on charge. Found a leak in the evaporator coil. Need to order coil for Goodman heat pump. This is the second coil replacement in a year. Requesting a manager to come evaluate the system to propose a solution to fix the system.
Performed a tune-up on a goodman unit. Unit was washed and waxed, checked all electrical connections and were tight, all electrical components were pulling proper amperage, auxiliary motor start pulling proper ratings. Inside unit had old filter changed out to a new filter that customer had, all electrical connections were tight and pulling proper amperage, blower motor was acceptable, evaporator was acceptable. Recommended customer a iaq200 UV system in order to avoid bio growth on inside unit, a soft start on outdoor unit customer said that he will be talking with his wife about it
Super tune up performed today on a 9 year old a Trane heat pump. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Drain safety switch installed today. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. All amp draws are within spec. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Outdoor unit was washed and waxed. Outdoor disconnect had fused and had come loose from the wall. Replaced disconnect safety today. Call for plumber has been set for a leaking T&P valve on the water heater.
Maintenance performed today on a two year old Ducane straight electric system. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. System is clean. All amp draws are within spec. System operating normally at time of departure.
Arrive to no cool/ no heat found. Found no voltage was passing through 60 amp breaker due to a loose connection on high voltage, tightened all connections and performed function check. System cooling the home upon departure.
Change out 19 light fixtures and two plugs
Performed a super tune up on a Goodman heat pump installed in 2022 and a Goodman air handler installed in 2018. All electrical components in air handler were tight, pulling proper amperage in heat strips, blower motor is acceptable, evaporator coil is clean. Outside unit was washed and waxed, check all electrical components and pulled proper amperage, auxiliary motor is acceptable, all gauge pressure at good measures at time of departure system was properly functional.
Goodman heat pump installed in 2019. All electrical components on indoor unit pulling proper amps, blower motor is acceptable, filter was clean, evaporator cleaned with no bio growth. Outdoor unit was washed and cleaned, pulled leafs out from inside unit, condenser coil cleaned and washed, compressor saver failed and was replaced under warranty, all electrical components were all tight, at departure system was functioning properly.
Performed a super tune up on a ducane heat pump with air handler installed in 2025. Upon arrival all electrical connections were tight and at proper amperage, evaporator coil and blower acceptable, filter was changed out when customer supplied the filter, heat strips were pulling proper amperage. Outside unit was washed and waxed, all electrical connections were pulling proper amps, auxiliary motor is the correct on the unit, cleaned out all leaves inside out the unit, system functioning right at departure.
Arrived for duct cleaning estimate. Two system home. Both systems have significant biological growth on the evaporator coils and the blower wheels. A 9" duct has a hole in it and needs to be replaced with a new 9" x20 ft. Highly suggest a level 2 duct cleaning on each system to include all ducts in addition to blower wheel and evaporator coil cleaning. A UV system is suggested in each air handler to prevent biological growth from coming back into the system. Neither system has a drain safety switch. This is an important safety feature that can prevent water damage in the home if there is a blockage in the condensate drain. Estimates are being sent via email.
