I requested information from Hobsons Comfort Experts on purchasing a generator for my home. Jeremy S was able to answer all my questions from size of unit, approximate price and location, and how it would work with the local utility co. Coming out a day earlier than originally expected, he was very knowledgeable and able to identify possible location, answered questions about noise, approx purchase price, and how it works with the electric co. Jeremy was respectful and didn’t mind all my questions. Thank you so much for quickly responding and giving me an idea for what to expect on an estimate!

1/27/26 Unable to get to the house. Road is very icy on a hill Installed 50 gallon electric came out and tested volts to existing heater power was going to the heater just not reaching the elements tried resetting and still no power believe the board is burnt due to power surge job complete
Customer stated unit would run for 4 minutes and shut off every time it ran. During evaluation found air handler and heat strips to be working properly found no issues with air handler did find the thermostat placement is right next to the attic access took a thermal picture and found that the attic door was 42° and at hinges of attic door was 38° cold attic air is reaching thermostat causing system to short cycle. Recommended attic tent to prevent cold air from hitting the thermostat customer wants to hold off for now
Fusible link is blown gave customer pricing on replacement of the fusible link or replacement of the entire Heat kit. Customer decided replace the heat kit itself. Heat pump will run but not efficiently in extreme cold
Callback on previous technician Upon arrival I found that the indoor unit on a call for heating would not exceed a blower speed of 660cfm Found the original tech had not programmed the outdoor unit on cool cloud so the indoor would know what speed to run the blower at Programmed the unit and changed the defrost setting for the outdoor left unit on in heating
Found customers thermostat not staging the system properly and would stop the call for heat before reaching set point. Replaced thermostat with the original one we left from the installation. System is functioning normally at this time. Amana 2 stage heat pump model ALZT7CA4810AA with matching variable speed air handler.
Located short to ground in the compressor electrical circuit. Disconnected compressor circuit to heat on emergency heat. Power circuit is jumpers from breaker to breaker inside the unit. Needs single point connector kit instead of jumpers. Mail physical invoice, customer doesn’t have a way to print the invoice. Email a copy of it to Muff4900@aol.com as well. Comfort advisor to visit Wednesday January 28 to discuss replacing the 15 year old package unit.
We'll need to get indoor board for air handler system is not down I bypassed the heat strips to make them work
1/2/26 This customer was a credit reject, customer is contacting credit bureau his home has been paid for for a number of years I want to do a follow-up with this customer on Wednesday.
.upon arrival techs found that the unit was only running off two emergency heat strips tech found that the primary electrical control unit was burned up techs also found that all the electrical wires for heat kit are loose and burning techs replaced 5 ends of the wires
I disconnected the auxiliary heat wire and explained customer how to put it back on and I reset the thermostat explained to her how to do that as well. If we have to come back out, I told her we would have to charge a service fee and at that time, we would probably charge a minor electrical repair.
2024 Amana Airhandler Checked and tightened all electrical connections Changed customer provided filter Filter is slightly too small for filter box Drain was clear and draining at this time UV lamp was out on arrival Heat strips were functional and within manufacture range Blower Motor and wheel were acceptable Evaporator coil was acceptable 2024 Amana Heatpump Checked and tightened all electrical connections Dual run capacitor was within manufacture range Primary electrical unit was acceptable Refrigerant levels were acceptable Defrost is functional Fan blades and motor were acceptable Condenser coils were acceptable Cleared debris from the bottom of the unit Washed condenser coils from the inside out Roof does not have a Heatpump gutter so when it rains and freezes ice will build up and keep fan from working properly. Recommended UV system upgrade or replacement of the UV lamp along with Heatpump gutter

Install 60k gas package unit, high efficiency filtration, uv system, new supply plenum and includes code kit
Came to job to do electrical work and did the work quoted and at a generator plug also tested it at the end and everything was working perfectly and customers happy
