Service tech was on point

Mike came in and got right to work; both my wife and I were at home working and he just made it happen. We had been without AC for some time (waiting on a part) and so we were stressed, and I was super-happy that I didn't have to stop what I was doing to sign 100 pieces of paper before he went to work. He worked diligently, updated me when asked, and most importantly when he left my AC worked, I knew why, and the area was cleaner than when he got here.

Upon arrival identified that moisture switch was tripped not allowing the system to turn on Upon further investigation discovered that moisture switch was tripped due to the condensation coming off the copper line underneath the system and the drain line was not backed up and nor was the system low on refrigerant Spoke to customer about a drain switch and she stated that she will most likely be looking towards replacing soon so she does not want to put too much money into this current system Left with system cooling

During inspection discovered that capacitor was below manufacturer tolerance level and went ahead and swapped out under manufacturer warranty and labor warranty System was up and running and cooling properly Spoke to customer about how it seems the capacitor was not swapped out at the last time we were out to work on the system and due to that I went ahead and waved the service fee under a recall

For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's home and she stated the system had not been running since the big storm happened around memorial Day. When I went to the thermostat to turn it on I noticed the fan was set to "ON" and the system was off. I turned it to cool and change the fan setting to auto and after a 5 minute delay the system started running fine. When I gauged up outside my subcool and superheat were in normal range as well as the RLA and FLA. I believe that after the storm and power was lost the thermostat reset and was not turned to cooling mode. Upon leaving the temperature was set to 77° and running fine. Customer stated she would like a copy of our price book via mail or email.

During inspection discovered that contactor had been damaged and was not passing 240 across itself Swapped out with a new contactor under P&L System was supplying 57 degrees upon departure

Tech arrived at a membership service call. Upon inspection the breaker was tripped. The condenser fan motor was not functioning. The breaker was reset and the fan motor was replaced. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. Leaves were removed. The refrigerant was evaluated and the TXV was not functioning. The Subcool was within range. The Delta was 10 degrees. It is recommended that the customer speak with a Comfort Advisor about upgrading to something more reliable with warranties behind it. The system was running upon departure. Customer was informed that the system may struggle when outside temperatures are high.

05/21/24 Tyler S- kitchen garbage disposal is leaking and needs replaced. Masterbath toilet is extremely old and outdated and needs to be replaced. All faucets are outdated and beyond repair that they need to be replaced as well. Mid century modern house that needs all plumbing updated. Waterheaters are Simi new but a few code violations with gas drip line.

Tech arrived at a warranty tuneup. Upon inspection, the capacitor was within specs. The contactorless board was functioning. The condenser coils were clean. The filter was a little dirty but there was no replacement today. The drain was clear. The UV system was not functioning. The attic insulation was a low in areas. The customer was informed of recommendations today. The customer decided to move forward with renewing the treatment strip. The new strip was installed and functional. The system was functioning upon departure.
