Air Conditioner unexpectedly stopped working

Disappointing service

Mike was pushy and would not leave until I made an appointment I do not intend to keep. Blamed my cat for getting out of the house when the cat has only gone out the door when it has been left open, not while we were walking out. Left the used filter out in my hallway for me to dispose of.

For this job I did a super tune up. Delta Was great in heating n cooling. Noticed some build up in drain line and suggested a pan strip. Uv bulb installed last year. At condenser cap was in tolerance and soft start is functioning. Washed coil and set thermostat back to 73. Homeowner declined panstrip. Asked to remind him about it next visit

For this evaluation the customer stated the furnace blower would stay running even when the outdoor unit was not running. There was no fault codes when I checked cool cloud and there was no call for cool at the condenser. The thermostat was indicating that it was any signal for cooling but it was only blowing ambient air. This system is a 2 stage heating and cooling system. Only Y1 was wired up, so I used an extra brown wire and connected that to Y2 on the thermostat and furnace control board thermostat plug. Once the system started running in second stage cooling I went back to the thermostat and raise the temperature so the system would shut off and it did however when I lower the temperature the system would not come back on unless I reset the thermostat indicating the thermostat is bad. Once the customer's replace the thermostat I believe that will fix the issue with the blower continuing to run even when there's no longer a call.

For this evaluation the customer system would stay running even with the outdoor unit cut off. Yesterday I had changed the cooling profile to profile A and it was originally set to profile D for a slower ramp up. I changed it to prolie A thinking it would help cool the house faster but it did the opposite. So I updated the system and set the cooling profile back to profile D.

For this evaluation I showed up to the customer home and water was under the system leaking. The primary journal line was clogged where it meets the house plumbing as well as in the p-trap. I cut the primary drain line at the end where terminates and at the pizza and unplug all of that and also tested it out by pouring three bottles of water into the pan and it drained with no issues. The connection point where the primary meets the house plumbing is backing up and was overflowing so the customer will need a plumber to snake that pipe and unclog it.

For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's home and nothing was running. The house internal temperature was 82° and set to 72°. Initially I thought it might be the thermostat because the thermostat was set to cooling but I was not getting a call for cooling between C and Y at the furnace so I bypass the thermostat my wire nutting it at the wall and the furnace came on but the condenser did not. When I went to the outdoor unit the system was throwing an l6 fault for an Open start circuit and when I measured the hard start kit it was good however the capacitor had failed on the hermetic side. I was out here last July and replaced the capacitor and it had not even been a year yet so I went ahead and warranted that capacitor and replaced it. Once I replace the capacitor and hooked everything back up the system kicked on into second stage cooling.

For this job I perform a super tune-up. All components of the system appear to be working within specs. I recommended either a pan strip or periodically treating drain line with white vinegar or bleach followed by one or two gallons of water. Homeowner opted to treat themselves. Today we showed up for a plumbing inspection. Walked the whole house and everything is in working condition and in good condition. Front left hose bib had a small leak on it due to the stem coming apart internally. Homeowner went ahead with the replacement of hose bib. Fixed problem and no longer leaking. Today I perforformed a cooling tune up Delta 17 Subcool was 8 Superheat was 14 Washed condenser and changed filter Customer said he would flush drain lines or get someone to do it One of the UV light bulb was out and brought it up to customer Also offered a new pan strip, customer declined recommendations due to budget issues After cleaning condenser it resulted in temperature being saturated inside home.
