Above and beyond!

I had invited my son and his wife to stay with me for a few days, until their AC got repaired. The second day here, the temp got up to 90 degrees upstairs. Joshua from Comfort Experts arrived in record time for a night-time call. When we went upstairs, it was still hot, but the AC was blowing cold air! I couldn't believe it! He said as long as he was here, he would check the system out to see if he could spot the problem. He did see what could have caused the event. He was very thorough, very knowledgeable, very polite, very nice to deal with. We have been doing business with this company for years, and I have never been disappointed.

Air Conditioner unexpectedly stopped working

Disappointing service

Mike was pushy and would not leave until I made an appointment I do not intend to keep. Blamed my cat for getting out of the house when the cat has only gone out the door when it has been left open, not while we were walking out. Left the used filter out in my hallway for me to dispose of.

Upon arrival for evaluation system was operational when I got to the home. I still went ahead and did the evaluation since I was already here I started with indoor unit and checked all components, blower cap is in tolerance blower motor in good condition Drain pan had a switch but no moisture present and drain lines had no clogs Lastly I checked deltas and had 19° of cooling Moved to outdoor and found compressor saver kit indicator bubble was popped but after checking LRA draw it was only slightly above rated amount Capacitor was in tolerance and contactor was in good condition I reviewed with homeowner and recommended compressor saver replacement Homeowner is going to hold off for now but I let her know if issue arrives again to have us come back out and we can see if there is another issue besides compressor saver. System left on cooling upon departure

For this job we came back to reassess the customers issues with the system not working. Initially the previous technicians at diagnosed a bad zone control board and bypassed it. I wanted to do my own assessment and evaluation of the system so I reconnected everything like it was supposed to be and connected via cool cloud to see if there were any active faults or previous faults that would give me insight as to what the problem was. When I connected the system had an active 04 Locked Rotor code. When I measured the capacitor was with intolerance which lets me know that the compressor was over ramping on startup and needed a hard start kit. I installed the hard start kit and the LRA went down from 160A to 97A. We also tested both thermostats to make sure that they were functioning appropriately and the system would shut off when there's no longer a call for cool and the thermostat was satisfied. Both thermostats appear to be functioning as they should.

Upon arrival system was operating but thermostat was reading 80, homeowner explained to me issues that he was having ever since last technician was out for tuneup and that system was not coming on even though both thermostats were calling for cooling I checked all indoor components and all outdoor components everything was operating as it should and neither indoor nor outdoor unit had error codes on I tested drain line with 2 gallons of water and had no back ups so I ruled out a drain clog I spoke to homeowner again about issues and how he temporary fixed them and we came to the conclusion that it could be the zone board not sending signal to air handler Temporarily bypassed zone board and hard wired upstairs thermostat to unit to keep home cooling Zone control board ordered System left on cooling with upstairs thermostat upon departure

Eval, arrived, there was no high voltage at the disconnect, flipped breaker, Replaced capacitor, once I got system running compressor was giving a breaking noise, Diagnosed as bad compressor, spoke with Terry over phone, there is a compressor here local, customer asked to have it scheduled for tomorrow 8/6 as soon as possible, health complications with heat Rooftop unit, put in notes to bring rope and extra set of hands is a must. I have completed my electrical inspection the panels are looking great they are 100 percent up to code and the solar is looking great gfci's are working and present, the light in the back that's having issues is due to the bulb housing and most likely needs to be replaced
