Came to house and nobody was here or answering the door and I didn't realize that it was still pending So I am pausing the job and when we hear back I will come out Hang back to job when customer was ready. And customers having a shocking issue with cooktop. Cooked up when microwave is plugged in next to it, talk to them about running a new circuit. So it can be grounded. Customer was very pleased. With us and how we work
For this super tune-up I inspected the customer's air handler and condenser testing the equipment in both heating and cooling. Overall equipment looked within manufacturer specs and was running well. I would highly recommend to the customer that we replace the existing hard start kit as it is dead and no longer functioning in the capacity it is supposed to. The compressor is overamping on startup pulling higher amps than what it is rated for which in the long run can cause more damage and cause that compressor to fail. A compressor saver kit will lower that amp draw and keep it within range increasing the longevity and efficiency of the compressor. I also recommend that we install a whole home search protector into the electrical panel to protect all the vital electronics within the home from power surges and lightning strikes and damage the those can cause. The customer had to leave while I was working on the outdoor unit so I was unable to make these recommendations at the time.
On arrival system running and cooling producing 19 degrees delta. Indoor unit clean but uv bulb is 5yo and should be replaced. Recommended upgrading to iaq 200. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing. System cooling as I left.
Performed plumbing tune up customer had foundation work and needs cleanouts for testing. Gave estimates for c/o and tankless service valves. Customer will call back
For the super tune-up I inspected the customers furnace and condenser, system was functioning and running well and both heating and cooling and customer is set for summer.
Being that the gas line is out of service I couldn't look a functionality of the heater. He wants to talk to some one this Monday 10 am about getting a new electric air handler and relocating it to the garage. The cooling side of the system has a 8° subcool and td is 20°.
On this job I changed out a flame sensor under warrenty.
Arrived onsite customer had a main line stoppage on home. Went ahead and ran sewer machine through drain and cleared stoppage for home. No warranty on sewer cleaning customer has old clay pipe in yard he knows he needs to replace.
System was heating intermittently when it wasn’t heating in the sequence of events in the furnace operations. Gas came on and then system shut off, so I determined it was the flame sensor. I changed it out system now heating.
