For this job I came back with Mike R and we installed a new R-22 TXV for the air handler. Pulled vacuum, and system held at around 500 microns. System had a 10⁰ SC, and left cooling upon departure.

This system has a subcool of 7° and td of 20. Today I washed his condensor and and evap coil for cooling and heating. The system is in tolerance on both sides. I recommend a a uv system to tackle the mold I'm finding on the evap coil. Other then this the system is now clean and ready for cooling.

For this evaluation I showed up to the customers home and he stated the system was not cooling but it was running and the house temperature was 81⁰. The fan and compressor was running and when I gauged up I had a 58⁰ SH, 9⁰ SC, indicating the TXV has become restricted and not metering properly. At the indoor the coil was partially frozen at the TXV and underside of the coil. I explained to the customer the cost of repair versus replacement and how replacing the older system would reap better benefits in efficiency and warranty. The customer wants to repair at this time instead of replacing the system. TXV will have to be ordered and I will return to replace it when it arrives.

This r22 system is low on freon and needs cap 55 7.5 Being that I don't carry r22 there's nothing I can do for her today. She would like someone to come out and see her for replacement. This Monday.

Homeowner stated that the condenser fan would turn off after a while of use. Per my evaluation of a 2011 3.5 ton trane HP, I found these major issues. Blower wheel has a heavy layer of dirt, dust and debris which reduces optimal airflow to the house. Heavy biological growth on the indoor unit. Liquid line/evaporator coil leaks detected. No drop down ladder for ease of access to the indoor unit. Return ducting at the plenum needs to be reveled. Outdoor unit is extremely un-level which compromises the compressor due to the proper amount of oil being able to be where its suppose to be for proper performance. Scorching on primary Electrical control contactor. Shorted out lizards ontop of the contactor and capacitor. Compressor RLA is high. Temperature of the suction line in heatmode indicates undercharge. No manufacturer warranties. System trips on thermal overload due to the aforementioned issues with the compressor and refrigerant. Bringing this all to the attention to the homeowne
