Nelbud came to LJS in Walker, moved equipment, getting oil all over..and did not clean the floors up, the hand sink was a mess, a glove was on the sidewalk with grease on it. Equipment was not put back in place.

Back in November I had my fire suppression system inspected by Fire Pros. They informed me that there was excessive grease build up inside my hood system. We clean the hood system that is over top of our cooking equipment already, they informed me that Nelbud was only cleaning the hood system above my cooking equipment and not the inside. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and called Total Fire protection to come out directly after our scheduled cleaning for a second opinion. They told me the exact same thing that the inside portion of the hood system was not being cleaned. I find this very disturbing. I stayed in the building until 1am last night to observe the cleaning practices. I could see the two techs cleaning but what they were cleaning, I'm not sure of. Furthermore the Nelbud techs broke a pipe to my fire suppression system in front of our broiler and said nothing about it. I would like to get in contact with a manager to discuss this issue.

I just had some info concerning the hood cleaners. They put 6:00p for their start-time and 12:45a as their end-time. I'm pretty sure that my FoH supervisor let them in at the loading dock around 6:50p. It's possible that CSO let them into the corner cfe through the door in the egress, though. I asked Jesse if she could check the times. I just thought you might like to know in case they bill hourly. Also, the sticker they put on the Handcrafted hood is not accurate. It's dated September 2023, and they left a bit of a mess in Handcrafted and the Corner Cafe. The main kitchen looked pretty good.

Was contacted once by Nelbud requesting to come in on Superbowl Sunday but that they would need us to close our Deli 2hrs early, I said that would not work and to let me know what other day they would prefer to come, to which I received zero response. They showed up the Mon, the day before Valentine's day, with no warning and told my team they needed us to shut down early. We said no. We said they could wait until we closed the Deli or they could come back later or a different day. They did service the hoods that night but did a very poor job. If we had received any communication back, then at the very least my team would have been prepared. Unfortunately, this seems to be standard practice with this company as it has happened many times in the past even though the issues above have been communicated to them.

Was called 2 weeks ago to confirm for last week hood cleaning that was supposed to start after 8pm. They were a no show with no follow up. Came in last night at 7pm ( our Deli doesn't close until 8pm) and told my night manager that they were there for hood cleaning and that they had confirmed it with me. This disrupted business and caused confusion. On top of that they left a mess behind for my Deli to clean up in the morning, including pulling the fixture off my faucet in the deli sink( I'm assuming it was in their way while using the sink) and leaving it that way.
