For this call we performed an evaluation. Upon inspection we found a severely dirty air filter, a dirty condenser coil, and discovered the compressor was amping over LRA rating even with a compressor saver kit. We noted the control board on the condenser had a locked rotor fault code. We suspect that the unit over amping is causing the compressor to lock out and not allowing the unit to cool efficiently. We recommended either starting a membership and installing a soft start device as a curative answer for high amperage, or considering a full system replacement due to condition and age of the unit.
