For this job I performed and evaluation for indoor air quality estimates. I noted that the general condition of the unit is not great severe corrosion on evaporator coil mild biological growth inside of the evaporator coil and on the supply ducts attached to the plenum. I noted air leakage from every single duct and also plenum seals to the furnace. Due to age and condition of the unit I offered to do a thorough evaluation to see if there were any issues aside from physical condition. Homeowner ask for a range on a unit swap out, I gave a range between 14k to 28k and ass homeowner what was most urgent for them.
