Customer is going to hold off on replacing HVAC for the time being and save up to ideally do both systems in the next year or two. Tony would like me as his technician from now on.
Pricing on this estimate is to replace the existing Frost Free Hose bib, which has a continual drip. Customer would like it replaced. Comfort Experts will shut water off to the residence to be able to goremove the existing hose bib. Once the hose bib has been removed, we will install a new Frost Free Hose bib. Upon completion, we will test the new install to ensure there are no leaks and the hose bib is functioning properly. *Comfort Experts is not responsible for repairs to the brick exterior, should we need to remove any bricks to access the point of connecting for the hose bib.
On arrival breaker was tripped at main panel to ac condenser. Found contactor blackened and in poor condition. Was able to run the machine by rearranging wires and found the system producing a subcool of 6. System is designed and was installed at a 9 subcool indicating the system is leaking refridgerant. Leak searched and found very intermittent pings in evaporator coil along with significant rust. Replaced contactor and respaded burnt wires with customers permission. Once completed I turned the system back on and had no high voltage passing through the disconnect. Informed customer and replaced breaker at disconnect versus replacing full disconnect. System running and cooling once complete. Recommended speaking with a comfort advisor about replacement due to age and condition of system and the likelihood of future repairs and downtime. Will follow up on Thursday around 6 to see if they would like to get quotes and get today's repairs waived with a new system. Thanks for cho

For the evaluation I showed up to the customer's home for a no cool. I took a thermal image of the supply where it was blowing out at 76°. The customer stated his neighbor had added some are 410A yesterday, roughly 2 lb. At the condenser I gauged up and I had a 63⁰ SH, 0⁰ SC indicating the system is extremely low on refrigerant. I opened the coil panel and instantly saw vapor leaking out and found the leak on one of the capillary tubes. The customer has a substantial leak in the evaporator coil. I talked to customer about the cost of replacement and he would like to talk to a CA Monday 5 August.
Gave customer estimate on adding a sink light above sink. 2 different options. One to add to existing lighting in kitchen. A second one to install new dimmer and put light on separate switch. Interested in membership but not ready to bite.
