For this job I performed and evaluation. The unit had a low pressure lock out fault code active upon arrival. After resetting the board I allowed the unit to run for about 15 minutes in cooling and 10 minutes and in heating and no further issues were noted. Refrigerant levels were within normal limits. hHomeowner stated they changed their filter this morning, I suspect that the dirty filter could have prematurely activated low pressure lock out due to airflow obstruction. I noted the unit was over amping at startup and that the homeowner did not have a UV system installed that had a history of having it recommended. I recommended a compressor saver kit or a soft start device to mitigate the issue of over amperage. I recommended a UV system as prevention of Bio growth in the supply plenum and traveling to supply ducts. The homeowner did not commit to any recommended work at the moment but it requested an email.
