Kitchen Fire Suppression System Deficiency: (1) Damaged/Leaking PyroChem PCL-300 Tank (Replacement Needed) During your most recent Fire Protection Inspection, our technicians noted that one of your PyroChem PCL-300 Fire Suppression Tanks was leaking and would not hold pressure due to a damaged valve and cracked cylinder. NFPA 17A: 7.5.1 The following parts of wet chemical extinguishing systems shall be subjected to hydrostatic pressure testing at intervals not exceeding 12 years: Wet Chemical Containers Auxiliary Pressure Containers Hose Assemblies Fire Suppression Tanks are required to be pressure tested using water or some other non-compressible fluid to help prevent unwanted failure or rupture of the cylinder.  NFPA 17A also requires the replacement of the cartridge used to expel suppression chemical hoses, o-rings, and burst discs.
