On this job I swap a DOA condensor. This is a heat pump system.
Upon arrival system was on cool. Indoor was on , outdoor unit fan was on but no compressor. Capacitor within tolerance. Ohms are acceptable. At start compressor is pulling 100 amps. Compressor is locked up. Customer will need a compressor. Left system off.
Arrived to unit not cooling after performing a evaluation on system I found that the compressor was in thermal overload ,after washing down outdoor unit I installed a start kit on it to kick on compressor, I also cleared customers drain line ,left system cooling customer was only able to pay 300 today and pay rest on friday per Dennis she can cover the remaining balance on Friday

Attic system electricals have biological growth growing around. Entire inside unit is covered with dirt and growth. Blower is covered with dirt and growth. Ducts need to be cleaned. Outside unit capacitor is out of tolerance. Amp draws are a little high, but in range. Closet unit is covered in growth. Electricals are sound. Outside unit is doing well. Amp draws are in range. Both systems left in working order
