Great service but repairs are overpriced

Service was great and Zac was very knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail. Unfortunately it is my opinion that the repairs that were needed are overpriced.

On this job I washed the condensor and changed the filter. I inspected both heating and cooling sides of the system. The td is 20 and subcool is 9. The heating side is in tolerance and working as it should. Today I also cleared a drian line. I cut the line under the sink and blew it out from top down. System is now in full operation and ready for heating season.

Tech arrived at a tune-up. The refrigerant and Delta was very low. The duel run capacitor was out of tolerance. The compressor was pulling high amperage. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The filter was replaced. The drain system was clear and bleach was poured. There was growth present. The blower area was dirty. The customer was informed of recommendations today. She was advised that her warranty company needs to replace the coil or the system needs to be replaced. The system was left running upon customer request.

Tech arrived at a tune-up. Upon inspection the inside coil was leaking (refer to video). Outside Capacitor was out of tolerance. Amp draws were high. Filter was replaced. Drain was clear. There was visible buildup in the lines. There was growth throughout the system. The customer was informed of recommendations. Due to age, condition, price of repairs and presence of R22; it is recommended that the customer speak with a Comfort Advisor about upgrading to something more reliable with warranties behind it. She will talk to her home warranty company and send them my report.

On arrival the system was running and cooling. The indoor unit produced a 21 degree delta and had a clean blower and coil. The drain line was partially clogged so I recommended clearing it and the customer declined. The outdoor unit passed all electrical tests after replacing the capacitor. As I left the system was running and cooling.

Tech arrived at a tune-up. Upon inspection the capacitors were within specs. The condenser fan motor was recently replaced. The contactor was in working condition. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The filter was clean. The blower area was dirty. The Delta was within range. The flame sensor was scorched. The drain pan was rusting through. The was a small amount of water in the drain pan. The drain was clear and bleach was poured. The customer was informed of recommendations today. They were informed of the drain system condition and decided to move forward with adding a treatment strip to help keep the drain system clean. The system was functioning upon departure.
