Evaluation performed today on a Rheem 2 ton straight cool condenser with a gas furnace. ECM blower motor is going out intermittently due to a thermal overload switch. Blower shuts down and causes the system to freeze due to no airflow over the coil. System installed in 2017 but has no active warranties. Customer is interested in replacing the system due to age and reliability of the current system. Comfort advisor is scheduled to meet with the customer this afternoon.
