After arrival, the contractor explained the job needed to be done today, Which was removing a gas line coming out of the ceiling to the fireplace. I'm capping it off in the ceiling. I gave the contractor the estimate and after approval I went to the parts house to gather my materials. Once I came back, I turned off the gas at the meter and then bled the gas out of the black iron pipe. Once it was bled out I un-screwed the ninety that was pointing down to the fireplace and then properly installed the cap. Once the cap was fully installed , I turned the gas back on at the meter and then tested out my work to make sure there were no leaks and once I was confident I took photos and cleaned up my work area. I then tried to collect, but the contractor did not have his card on him. And the digital card that he had was not working due to the bank, putting it freeze on his account. So we are going to have to pause this job and call and collect later on today after he gets home to activate his n
