Tech Cody Brooks arrived at customer's home. I met Mr Tyson and he directed me to the thermostat and indoor unit, and I begun my inspection of the system. First I started with the furnace upstairs, the inducer motor was pulling proper amperage according to manufacturer. I replaced the filter, and noticed that the customer was using a 1-in filter on a system designed for a 5 inch. I inspected the supply and return plenum and found them to be clean, and inspected the heat exchanger for the furnace and found no signs of damage. When I turned the furnace on all the safeties worked as they should and the furnace turned on with no problems. I closed the upstairs unit and headed downstairs, I started by opening up the electrical box on the straight electric condenser. I cleaned out the spider webs from the box and tighten the electrical connections. I noticed that the customer did not have a hard start kit, whenever I did the inrush amp test on the compressor decompressor was pulling 20 amps
