Tech arrived at a STU. It was cold. The tech had a ride along employee. Upon inspection, the capacitor was out of tolerance. The defrost control board showed hot spots. The contactor was in working condition. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The filter was relatively clean as well as the blower area. The UVV system was functioning. The drain was clear and bleach was poured. There was no observed surge protection. The customer was informed of recommendations needed today. He decided to move forward with the Universal Defrost Board and 40/5 Duel Run Capacitor today. These items were tested, installed, and functioning. The customer's water heater was evaluated. It is a 2000 model. It had rust on the bottom of the pan. The TPR valve terminated in the pan. This is against current building standards. It is recommended that replacement/repairs be performed on the water heater. The customer is interested in financing and will call back in for a
