For this evaluation the customer stated their furnace was leaking from the coil. I showed up and opened the coil door and immediately notice the coil was frozen. The filter was not dirty so I went outside gauged up and had a below freezing sat temp. I like searched the EVAP coil however with the amount of ice buildup I was not able to get any solid readings from inside. Some sporadic hits but nothing steady enough to confidently say that's where it was coming from. I added refrigerant to detect where the leak was coming from on the condenser and was getting an indicator on my leak detector that a leak was somewhere in the vicinity of the compressor and low pressure switch. I sprayed bubbles on it however was not getting any indicator of an air leak. I called my supervisor Ryan and informed him of what I was seeing, and we agreed we would come out together next week.
