On arrival system was off. I found the wet switch (water safety) tripped. The coil was frozen solid causing water to leak underneath the unit. I defrosted the coil and tested refridgerant. The system had a superheat of 52 proving that the system is low on refridgerant. I performed a leak search and found the leak in the evaporator coil. I have provided a quote for a new evaporator coil and an estimated refridgerant amount. I would recommend speaking with a comfort advisor before pursuing repairs due to the cost of repairs, the age of the equipment, the stress the refridgerant leak put on the condenser, and the upcoming industry shift to new refridgerant.
