I inspected the property and found no nests at this time. The activity you are seeing is foraging. The yellow jackets are unlikely to be aggressive during this behavior, as they are not protecting a nest. To reduce foraging activity around the home, I recommend installing yellow jacket bait traps around the exterior. During service, I swept away any cobwebs I saw. I then treated the exterior perimeter, as well as around doors and windows, with a liquid residual for ants, general, and seasonal pest activity. This solution is effective for yellow jackets as well, but they must come in contact with it in order for control to be rendered. Please allow two to three weeks for full effect.
